ROOTED RESILIENCE

“Rooted Resilience” displays the delicate dance of nature in urban spaces, showcasing the resilience of the natural world as it reclaims and intertwines with the man-made. This project aims to convey the beauty found in this harmonious coexistence, emphasising the balance between concrete structures and the relentless force of nature reclaiming its space. It is fascinating how plants continue to thrive in environments that humans have made hostile through extensive industrialisation. When one sees tiny seedlings sprouting from cracks in walls of buildings, it may seem insignificant; however, it only serves as a reminder of how powerful the natural world is, and its ability to take over urban environments and man-made structures is quite astonishing. Humans may temporarily hinder plant growth, but nature will always recover and attempt to take back its home. These plants become an archive of scattered, solitary organic forms living among concrete and glass.
